Delta NEU

Ink Mist in the Can Making Industry

The Can decorator is a high-speed printing process where the applied ink dries to a certain point immediately on application. This process produces tiny particles of ink mist which require removing from the print heads are filtering. The Delta NEU Decorator extraction unit is well established in the industry worldwide, designed specifically for this process.

The unit includes an extraction fan to suit the type of process and number of printing heads, remote operator stop/start provision, vacuum break for ease of opening the decorator enclosure door, low cost filter elements to remove the fine ink mist particulate and the option of a liquid separator manifold for connection to the print heads and collection of any excessive liquid ink drawn for the unit over a period of time.

Dust filtration is also often required in the solvent incineration process which is used to destroy any VOC's in the air from numerous extraction points in the printing process. Specific dust filtration equipment and techniques are used to clean dust particles from the air before the thermal oxidizer to ensure optimum performance and minimised maintenance of the equipment. The Delta NEU Jetline dust filter range is ideally suited to this type of application, designed and selected to suit the ultra-fine particles and the explosive risk any dust cloud may have, under the ATEX regulations.
