Oil Mist Filtration: Our Turnkey Solutions for the Aerospace Industry

Solutions for the collection, transfer and filtration of oil mist that meet the requirements of the aerospace industry.
NEU designs tailor-made solutions for local exhaust ventilation and pollutant filtration.

Case Study: Installation of an Oil Mist Filtration System in the Aerospace Industry

For our customers in the aerospace maintenance industry, in the maintenance workshops of landing and braking systems, we install ventilation and collection systems for pollutants and oil mist. These tailor-made solutions include the installation on workstations of suction backsplashes equipped with side panels and a cap. This allows pollutants to be captured at source, such as Skydrol fumes dispersed during maintenance operations.
When processes cannot be confined this way, the stale air is captured by a swivel arm as close as possible to the pollutant emission zone. The pollutants are transported by a network of pipes that are vacuumed by a fan and/or purifier and discharged outside the workshops.

Skydrol is a fluid frequently used in aircraft construction. While it is appreciated for its non-flammability and viscosity stability, it is irritating to human tissues and required protective measures, in particular by filtering its oil mist.

NEU supports aerospace maintenance manufacturers in the capture, transport and filtration of pollutants.

Protection of the health and safety of persons
The capture of pollutants, such as Skydrol vapours, directly at the emission source limits the level of VOCs present in the ambient air. The use of natural movements of pollutants and ergonomically designed devices protect workers' health and safety. Our installations are compatible with ATEX standards.
