DELTA NEU WELCOMES FIRST ENGINEERING APPRENTICE

DELTA NEU has strengthened its partnership with a leading training and advisory service by welcoming its first Engineering Apprentice to the team.

SETA (Stockport Engineering Training Association) provides employers with ongoing support and specialist training programmes in technical engineering, manufacturing and industrial safety. The organisation also recruits, enrols and trains engineering apprentices who are employed in technical and manufacturing roles with leading UK companies.

DELTA NEU Company Secretary Michaela Duffy says: “We have been working closely with SETA in an advisory capacity for over five years, as part of our overriding commitment to Health and Safety. We are now embarking on an exciting new phase by introducing our first Engineering Apprentice through the SETA Learning and Skills Academy.”

The newest member of the DELTA NEU team is undertaking SETA’s Advanced Apprenticeship in Design and Draughting. The three-year apprenticeship includes an NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations and a BTEC National Diploma in Operations and Maintenance.

The Design and Draughting NVQ Level 3 qualification is undertaken by a large number of SETA clients, including Jacobs Engineering, Nestle, Boulting Group, and Costains. SETA has over 300 apprentices nationwide following training courses in Manufacturing, Warehousing, Electrical Engineering and Business Administration.
